About the New York Chapter of the Coalition


The Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in is a non-profit membership association that brings together law firms, government entities, and
companies of all sizes for the purpose of advancing the recruitment, retention
and promotion of women lawyers. The New York Chapter was founded in 2016, and
was the first expansion Chapter of the Coalition. The New York Chapter
organizes regular events that provide valuable networking and enrichment
opportunities, many of which offer CLE credit. New York member benefits include
special programming and leadership opportunities, marketing for your firm, and
special access to membership directories and other exclusive resources.
Most importantly, the Coalition cultivates career advancement and professional development, promotes dialogue, provides a
support-network among members and helps address the many issues facing women
lawyers and women’s initiatives today. The Coalition is a place for all women
lawyers, from different practice areas, different size law firms, different
size companies, different roles within the government and different levels of
experience, to join forces to advance each and all of its members’ careers. This
inclusive nature of the Coalition makes it a unique and significant resource
for all of its members.

And Just Like That: Product Placement Best Practices and Pitfalls to Avoid
Thursday, April 21 @ 12:00PM CT via Zoom
The difference between good and bad product placement can be the difference between brand success or brand suicide. Join trademark and advertising attorney, Novaira Paul, in a discussion of best practices related to product and brand placement. The discussion will include various recent examples of how companies have benefitted from product placement and how others have suffered—taking both a financial and reputational hit.
This course has been approved for 1.0 hours of IL CLE credit.
