About the New York Chapter of the Coalition

The Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in is a non-profit membership association that brings together law firms, government entities, and companies of all sizes for the purpose of advancing the recruitment, retention and promotion of women lawyers. The New York Chapter was founded in 2016, and was the first expansion Chapter of the Coalition. The New York Chapter organizes regular events that provide valuable networking and enrichment opportunities, many of which offer CLE credit. New York member benefits include special programming and leadership opportunities, marketing for your firm, and special access to membership directories and other exclusive resources.

Most importantly, the Coalition cultivates career advancement and professional development, promotes dialogue, provides a support-network among members and helps address the many issues facing women lawyers and women’s initiatives today. The Coalition is a place for all women lawyers, from different practice areas, different size law firms, different size companies, different roles within the government and different levels of experience, to join forces to advance each and all of its members’ careers. This inclusive nature of the Coalition makes it a unique and significant resource for all of its members.
